What you'll learn

The Diploma of Community Services takes your skills to a new level. You'll develop capabilities in: 

  • Coordinating, managing, and delivering programs to individuals, families, and communities

  • Case management - developing, monitoring, and reviewing client plans

  • Leadership, supervision, and support of other workers and volunteers

  • Working with people experiencing housing insecurity, family violence, mental health challenges, disability, and financial hardship

  • Navigating policy, legislation, and ethical practice in complex community settings

  • Community development and identifying new service opportunities

  • The qualification requires 16 units of competency (8 core + 8 elective), plus a mandatory work placement component of 100 hours, depending on your chosen study pathway.
